What is more "strange", is,.. is the engine same same, as the 1125R? As the 1125R is mainly good in high speeds (really bad on low rpms.. as is Ktm RC 8)..
Well, it wouldn't suit a cafe racer at all, same with the cockpit/riding position. Seems this bike is a work, not so well thought out.
Regardig the XB's looks!
Most that i meet and know of really thinks the XB's look bad ass.

I still hate the mirrors...I wish they could have integrated the turn signals into the air-scoops/ugly ass radiators. That bike should come stock with bar ends.

not so much the rpm's but the cornering is unstable at low speeds.
and yep, the engine is the same, it's just a different beltdrive ratio.
1125cr => 2.815 : 1
1125r => 2.593 : 1
i also wonder why they left the front brake caliper red instead of black?

Some pictures of it are better than others...but I'm still not a fan. I'll be ordering the bars when they become available to see if they fit. I also wouldn't mind swiping the digital bits (esp if it has the lap timer in it) but where would it take ambient temperature that wouldnt be affected by the heat of the buell. Even in December its July standing next to a running Buell.

Ambient Temperature -- would more than likely be taken from somewhere around the headlight/gauges assembly as heat tends to rise, and that is the only area near the bike that doesn't put off mad crazy heat.

Nice new bike! I don't know yet whether or not I really like the intakes on the side of the new Buell 1125CR street-fighter. They look pretty good on the 1125R, but it seems to loose some of its 'naked sport bike' appeal.
Maybe it will grow on me more over time. It's enough of a major change that I think the XB series Lightnings will hold value and become even more sought after now that we know we won't get another Buell with similar style for at least 7 years or so.

I'd take the 1125CR over the 1125R... it does look funny and my first reaction was (what the hell is that!) but that awkward look of the bike actually makes me like it even more... dare to be different

Actually I'd like a new tail. It's a new bike, why us an old tail end (same goes for the R). It's been used since 2003, let's go designers if you can think of a new front fairing you can think of a new tail...

I'm not a big fan of the CR. I wasn't a fan of the 1125r either until I saw one in person and rode it. The CR may grow on me in time (doubt it) but it will never take the place of my want of an 1125r.

Wow, lots of opinions! Looked at the 1125CR today at the Buell demo in Rapid City, SD. I thought it looked great. The scoops actually flow well without the large fairing of the R. Super cool handlebars. I really am not too caught up on the name, the TT is described as a supermoto? so whats in a name? It's just one killer bike and in my opinion has a more appealing look than the 1125R. Good riding position and ergos for me as well(5'7"). I am happy to see Buell trying something new.

I'd have to say that Benelli did a much better job creating their version of the same bike. I don't get what's going on with Buell's design teams. Function is the foundation on which design should be built. But the design itself should have some artistic integrity.
There's officially no Buell in the line-up that I would ever consider buying. Not with my money. Now ifin' I could afford to completely customize and modify one, then I'd be back in the running. But the 1125R and this new Frankenstein version of it are 2 of the biggest disappointments I've ever had with Buell.
I pray for the next round. It's gotta get better...

The single headlight is way nicer than the 1125r light those two big eyes plus the two huge air scoops just make the front of the bike way to big if they can slim down the fron and make it cleaner like a real street fighter it would be tha baddest production naked bike
