To answer your question, what do you mean it feels too high?
A lot of people will raise the forks (lower the front) to speed up steering. However, if I recall, that's not possible on the 1125s due to a taper on the forks. If I find some more info, I'll post here. |

Okay, apparently there's some fork limiting C-clips that make it easy when reassembling the front end. So, it sounds like there would be a little bit of work to raise the forks.
Again, why are you doing this? To speed up handling? If that's the case, you need to check your tire pressures and adjust your suspension. These bikes turn in quickly out of the box (with the suspension setup properly). |

I have mine slipped 2" but I also have the rear dropped 2" as well. You can slip the front but it would effect the handling. I feel negatively if you lower just the front and not the rear as a sportbike is balanced for handling.
Many might say I am the last to mention handling abilities with my setup but if you drop the front and not the rear you will for sure be putting added strain on the front when riding into corners and most likely lose some traction in the rear. I would only recommend to lower the front if you are going to do the same to the back to balance out the bike. My $0.02 |

| Xtreme, I'm not too sure about your idea of lowerimg both ends to balance things out. I'm not a chassis tuner by any means but I'm pretty sure the geometry is screwed if you change things by 2" at a time. When we were racing we changed fork height my a couple of millimeters at a time at a time. Also, I believe lowering the forks shouldn't make you lose traction on the rear, it's much more likely to over load and "tuck" the front end in corners. My $0.02 for what it's worth. Wayne | |

I just want the bike to feel more pitch forward,than flat!I do have the bike setup for my weight and i added a GPR V4 dampener! This is before pic!

| I just bought my 1125r two days ago, but I'm no stranger to suspension setup. The 1125r is known to be particularly sensetive to suspension changes and lowering the front 2" will make it virtually unrideable. If you want to feel lower on the bike without totally screwing up your handling, then you're going to have to try some clipons which would mean a new upper triple clamp too. Its possible you could get what you want by taking the upper triple clamp off the bike, and replace it with an 1125CR triple clamp and the clubman bars that go with it. I have no idea about the handlebar clearance issue you may run into though. | |

I agree, the safest way to attain the "feel" you are looking for would be to lower your clip-ons (via aftermarket), add adjustable rearsets, and rais the seat slightly... suspension IS your handeling, and lowering your triples on the forks would virtually eliminate your trail making the bike extremely unstable.
Did you try setting your static sag front and rear and then see where things are at?? |

I agree minor changes are needed to better your performance not large ones like 2", but he asked if lowering just the front would be acceptable.
On a bike if you are going to lower it you need to do so evenly. I just use 2" as a referance since that is what mine is dropped, but if all you want is better performance I agree slight changes will be best but again that isn't what he is asking for. Just as in the difference between a S and Scg the tail is drop along with the front not necessarily for the height since most of the height is done in the seat rather to evenly distribute the weight and keep the front or tail from becoming to light or heavy. Otherwise all that would have been needed would be leave the front sky high and drop the tail for short people but that would handle horrible so even distibution was needed. My thoughts....?? |

Im just love the way tha zx-6rr dives in to the corners!My buell just does not dive like i want it to!Since the 1125 is not worth much of anything,Im just going to turn it in to a track bike!

| the price has drop 1/2 what it was worth new!im sure u seen my pic of the white 1125! i went to trade it in at earl smalls of atl,ga they told me they would give me 4500$ on trade!never dropped with only 2008 miles,tons of up grades!!!!
