It does give a system voltage message sometimes while starting, and when it first started to happen i was on the freeway got a check engine light and the system voltage and it died while trying to pull off the freeway
I have a 2008 1125r that will start up but dies after a few second, I have tried giving it gas and it will die even while revving. It is starting right back up after dying but only for a few seconds. Any suggestions?

loose ground connect? check the rear frame under the seat by the swing arm. it's like an 8mm bolt. i believe. fuses and relay checks. tps reset. voltage regulator? easy stuff first.
I tightened a few connections and it seems to be running fine now. I'm heading out to test it now.
That wasn't it, just died on me while riding. It won't turn over and the headlight are coming on when I use the front brake and won't turn over.
I am having the same exact problem. Got rear ended and almost killed on my lightning and 2 years after docs and rehab , I scraped all I could and bought an 2008 1125r with less than 4K miles. Ran fine for a week. Now it does what this fella's does. Seems worse when warmed up. My active intake solenoid has 2 wires coming off of it that almost appear cut (not capped or taped), but I can't find a matching pair that they should go to. PLEASE HELP!!! Don't know how many riding days I have left and can't afford to take it to the dealer.
Found a loss ground melted to the plastic under the battery box which seems to be the problem if anyone is still having this problem
Isnt that where I said to check first? Anyhow glad you found it
No this one was under the battery box the one you suggested was fine. You did have the correct idea on it being a ground, I think this one the guy before just disconnected and hide for whatever reason...
Good fortune bro stay safe
