Just curious - how many have ever experienced motor failure due to the oil pump failure?

So far in six Buell forums only 3 bikes - all 2000 - both mine where updated a long while ago when opened up for cams and such - but someone said this was more common - so I'm asking around -

Engine failure meaning?  Like shot?  No good?  I would assume if oil werent getting to the engine that their would be problems.  What exactly happened?

It has happened only on 2000 year bikes so far - the gear shreds - oil starvation - etc. - someone else supposed that since HD/Buell improved the gear drive with the heavy duty gear, that the old must be faulty - I figure they did it just to make sure that area wouldn't be a problem potentially in its newer models, not that the old style was that problematic to begin with - lol
