Thread: No spark after blast gets hot

  1. #1
2002 buell blast 10k miles on it, runs perfect until it starts to get real hot after about 5 or more miles of highway riding (65) mph, then it completely dies out and won't start back up until it cools off, just put a brand new coil on it, not sure if the plug wire is causing this, plug wire appears to be fine.... Tips? Tricks? Suggestions ? Last time it acted up I pulled the plug wire off and put a spare plug in the hole, grounded it and hit the starter, and had no spark so I'm guessing its the ignition module, but I'm looking for a cheaper or easier fix, I suppose ill go get a new plug wire since they arent too pricey and see if that does anything, anyone have any suggestions?
