I had been riding with regular work boots for a couple years and finally decided I should have riding boots. I went with the Icon Field Armor Boots. It's an awesome boot but I'm having trouble fitting it between the shifter and the peg. Anyone else have this happen?
I did adjust the shifter but it is still uncomfortable. Maybe I just have to get used to it?

changing boot is a bit of getting used to, but these icon boots are pretty big...especially for a sporty bike.

i like these more and they go well under biker-jeans

Give them time to break in and just get used to the boot change yourself...

I really like the Alpinestars smx-2 for the getting under the shifter issue, and they have toe sliders so their race legal. But on the style tip I like the octane. Both go great with jeans and just look good.

Well, I've been riding a bit more the past couple of days (with the new boots of course) and it is much better. Still a couple of hang-ups here and there but I'm pretty sure I will be able to get used to them completely.
The Field Armor Boots look like they have more shin protection/support than these other boots(one of the reasons I picked them, they have somewhat of a shin plate but they're not a full race boot).
I also prefer the look of the larger toe section on the boots. For example, I like the look of those AP* Octanes but they would probably fit under the shifter about the same as my Icons.

A few more rides and I don't think they will be any problem
