What is the actual purpose of the chin fairing? Rock protection airflow or just looks? I have an oil cooler line leak and BPG Was ever so nice to hook me up with the numbers to get the updated kit. I have an 03 '9R. Well after taking the chin fairing off I like the looks of it and thinking of keeping it off.

protect and flows more air to the front cylinder. but there a more riders that leave it off and experience no problems.
