Has anyone ever tried to replace their cluster (speedo, tac, dummylights) with something a little more high tech?????

No I haven't but I did see a GP style one in J&P Cycles that I would love to switch to.  I would really like to have a digital speedometer like I had on my Gixxer.  I really like the digital look.  I might try it I just don't know yet if I want to go through it all.

Here's kind of an interesting question.  I had always kind of assumed that the ECM would handle keeping track of the bikes mileage, but it looks like that is handled by the cluster.  What happens when you replace the cluster, even with an OEM one?  Does the dealer have the ability to set the current miles correctly?
