I would put the Amsoil back in.
I got myself an alto carbonite clutch pack and I'm in the midst of installing it on my 03 XB9R. I typically use AMSoil full synthetic (20W-50) in the primary but was curious if anyone using the same clutch kit would recommend a different type of oil to switch to for the primary? Or would the same brand be alright.
I would put the Amsoil back in.
what rick said is probably correct but just as a suggestion i have a dealer account with alto company in alabama and can get you a tech's phone #. that is if you want to ring them up and ask their recommendation on fluid suggestions.
That would be awesome lunaticfringe, I'm sure AMSoil would be fine but I want to be 1000% sure before throwing them on.
here ya go son. they are in a little town called atmore, AL which is a bit northeast of mobile and the gulf area. usually an older woman named mary with slight spanish accent answers the phone. call the # below and to get a tech on the phone tell her simply that you bought a carbonite clutch kit from john lutz @ mid atlantic cycle and just need info on correct trans fluid as john didn't know as he's a freakin dumb-ass. they are very helpful. ask for a tech.PS-they are on central time.
