Are the front brake rotor's the same for the xb9r and 12r?

Bes sure to replace all the hardware that holds the rotor on and the springs behind that too if you replace yours. They are a one time use hardware.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I was looking at a used one for my bike, but I am having second thoughts. My dealership over here said $140 for a new front rotor. Sound about right?

Yes you can definitely get wave rotors for it. They make them for the perimiter brake setup. They aren't much better but they are better than stock.
