We are planning on a 130 mile overnighter at daytona for biktober fest. Anyone have these bags? How do they install? I need saddle bags but also need passenger room. Anyone have any ideas?

have your passenger wear a backpack maybe? hope someone finds a way to hook you up with what you need, best bet is to ask BuellPartsGuy though, he's the authority on well...parts. Oh and LeFox too, they really know their stuff, and they are always willing to help.

We are trying to avoid making her wear a backpack the whole way. Also thinking of maybe shipping our stuff to the motel.
SO Lefox, BPG, any insight on the saddle bags?

My bet is they wont work with a passenger. Why not a tank bag? I'm going on a 150 mile ride on Thursday to go camping. I'll be gone for 5 days, and I was able to put all 5 days worth of clothing and gear in a medium size backpack. The trick I've found is rolling the clothes. Between a tank bag and a small daypack on your girl, you could be set for a week.

the saddle bags will work with passenger, but i don't think you'll get much into them.
if you are going on several weekend trips, i would suggest having a look into these: click

Hey if you go to Buell.com you can get all the information that you are looking for about those saddle bags. They are tiny and probably hold a tshirt if you are lucky.

They mount underneath the passenger pillion with velcro straps. There are also supports that attach to the licence plate support bolts.

I like the ventura. Thanks. At the buell site I cant get a real idea on how big those bags are. Looks like enough clothes for one person for 2-3 day trip so I think those would work. however the ventura would be a little less intrusive for the wife, probably hold everything we need and looks easier to carry around.

I have them and they hold enough for me to go for a weekend ride. But if I took my old lady with...forget it. It takes a train cart to pack her crap. The Buell bags expand another 2" also to hold more. I like them myself, but I think they would be in the way of the rear pass. foot pegs. She would have to be pretty flexible to ride with them on and be comfy. Just do like I would, make her stay home. My wife just gets in the way of picking girls up anyhow. kiddin

I was afraid they would be in the way of the pass foot pegs. Gotta bring the wife, she has better luck at picking up girls then me......Did I just type that? oops. She can pack light when needed. Well so far for 2 up it looking like the ventura so far.
So could they hold about 2 changes of clothes for 2 people? If not I might get a tank bag with the saddle bags, or going with the ventura I probably wont need a tank bag.

Hey, I have the Buell bags and they hold a lot more than you would expect. I think you could easily fit 2 changes for 2 people. I have taken 3 changes of clothes on a long weekend trip without having to even expand the bags that extra 2". Also assuming her clothes are going to take a lil less room than yours, if she packs sensibly :P, you should have no problem with the Buell bags.
Also I haven't doubled with the bags on, but it looks like you would still have room to reach the pegs and be "comfy" on the back.

Ok, so I bought some parts from a guy... I know this is way off topic, but this is another possible luggage solution:
wow, now that is commitment.
