Whatever is easiest/cheapest. Then acquiring parts to make into a second model.
Say a S for $3k, then acquiring R front and tail

Be weary of these. That's a parts only bike far as I'm concerned. Complete rebuild is in order costing most people $2k-3500 in parts for this.
On other hand I have a $2600 salvage title 2006 9r that I've already fixed and ridden, just need the police inspection for rebuilt title. (Well I've started stealing parts for my own bikes but damage wise, is nil)

The cr was on the list but Craig took his of the chopping block. Plus the scoops kill me. I ignored them for a while but it ate my lunch eventually so I got rid the 1125r.
when I said may want to get a different one I meant a pipe.
A guy is driving from louisville as we type to buy the Ninja.

Two things on my to get list are an s1 and a yamaha wr450.
Are you still thinking about an uly? You might find a stt for 4k or an uly in need of some tlc. Ill keep my eyes out for something interesting. What kind of bike are you looking for? Sport touring? Sport?

I think I'll pass on an uly. I think a 12r will be cool for me. I was looking at stamens bike. It's in Columbus and that would give the wife a chance to see her family near dayton. It has a remus full system and comfy bars. It has 20kmiles wwhich doesn't worry me but resale will become hard brcause its a buell and then one with high miles after I'm done with it.
