Posted:  28 Jun 2008 02:03 [?]
Just got around to washing the bike for the first time and this kinda caught my attention. Is the front engine mount supposed to stick out like this?

Sorry for the dumb question (if it is), but it kinda struck me as odd. It doesn't seem to want to move, so maybe this is normal?

Cool, thanks! I got to thinking about it after I posted and maybe it is that way for variance. ??

Probably to stabilize the bike.  Like a cars engine, when you hit the gas the engine "twists"  Im sure our bike motors will do that to some extent as well.  Im not an engineer and im assuming thats probably the idea behind the small gap there.

Irs a rubber isolator.  It needs room to move in both directions, up and down.

When mine failed it cracked all 3 of those right side support brackets while the rubber part looked almost new.

I just wanna know how Types old clutch cable clamp is still holding up, mine broke about 2weeks after I got my bike.

15K on the bike, have removed/installed the clutch cable retainer a few times, still looks new. wonder why they break? the new upgraded part is WAY beefier, i'll prob grab one just for the hell of it.
