i would like to buy an air filter for my firebolt b4 i get it dino tuned... any suggestions on a good one?

K&N works great, you should also do the open air box mod and breather re-route before your dyno run also.  There is a bunch of posts on here about how to do those mods.

k&n highflow filter...but this is no use if you do not have an open airbox as bpg mentioned.

and when you are doing that, the breather re-route is a simple extra with very good results, as bpg also mentioned

I wish BMC made a filter for us but I haven't found one yet.

Taken straight from the Buell website. Pretty much same as K&N from what I understand.

Yes but BMC doesn't make a filter for our bikes.  It is similar to a K&N just much better.  I know from experience in my Gixxer that the BMC was much better than the K&N that was in it when I got it.

Sorry, by BMC I thought you meant Buell Motorcycle Co. Never heard of BMC filters. Time to educate myself

Yeah, BMC makes lots for all the other makes of bikes but Buells.

If im not mistaken, isnt the airbox on the 07's already open??

Yeah, its pretty opened up compared to older years, but you can completely delete the upper lid other than a cap on top of the filter itself.

And it looks total bad-ass if you have the translucent airbox cover

I have the Buell Race Air Filter listed above for sale. It has been used for approx. 2K miles and is in perfect condition. I'll let it go for $30 shipped.

Here is another option. With the dollar being so weak it is a bit pricy though.

Not wanting to Hyjack the thread but does anyone know if they make a Translucent Red Airbox cover for the XB9R?

the S airbox cover will fit the R bikes.
I use the buell race filter and like it, a huge improvement in throttle responce and sound, plus tou dont have to oil it.
