Red Engine/Piston Light Display poping up on Dash Display

Hey Guys, thanks to the site I got a copy of the service manual for my 07 xb12r, but I cant seem to find what this light means, My bikes done 4000km but recently after a unfortunate drop has been sitting in my garage, after I turn her on and wait for the red light to go out (the ones under the Neutral light) it come back on again, even when I start the bike. Any thoughts as to what the cause to be? battery?

Any help would be much appreciated!

All good! Turned one of the switches wasnt plugged in properly :3

Glad it was an easy fix.Welcome to the Forum. Check out this Forum for the next couple of months and after some Learning you will be a True bueller. Actually you are from just Buying one. Make Sure to Watch the Daves Do it yourself(DIY)Videos all in one thread before you start working on your Cool as hell bike! Unless you have lots of Buell time already! What ever you do when Changing the Oil OR Transmission fluids JUST SNUG the Drain plugs they can Easily strip out. Just good and Snug with New O'Rings. Amsoil works well in the Engine 20/50- and Redline or 20/50 Amsoil in the transmission will work to keep you maintained.
The TPS- Throttle Position Sensor needs to be reset every once in a while. That is Key to a good Idle and Good Running Engine. Make Sure to Check out Stevenc150 links here for very useful Information. You will need ECM Spy to reset TPS Plus The Cable from Xoptiinside.com you will find the Drivers as well to make to work for you. If you need help with that cause That ECM Spy is a Powerful Tuning Tool. Caution is need till you get used to it. SO Bone up so as to be prepared just for modifications and to keep it riding Again Welcome to the Forum.*Jimi

The sefvice manual has a fault code list & with simple jumper wire you can get a flash code to help you trouble shoot the problem in the future. I myself am a newbie but this forum is da bomb. Its helped me a few times already in the past week or so. Welcome

That's cool you figured it you.. I recently pulled the case off of my brother scg lighting 05.. now it is having the same issue.. just to get me closer what king of switch/connection did you plug in and where?

Yea I'm have the same problem with my new and first 07 buell xb12stt. the red light only comes on when I cut the fuel pump on(the red switch that u push befor u hit the starter button). It stays on the whole time but if I switch the pump off to shut the bike down it goes off can anyone help me out thanks this is my fist buell and I love it

it goes like this:
with red rocker switch to OFF position.....turn ignition key on
allow needles to sweep
turn red rocker switch(on-off switch) to on....you should hear pump prime and all dash light operational.
now WAIT till the light with the V-Twin pistons on it goes out.
now start the bike.
if the above V-twin light which is correctly called the CEL light come back on you have a problem.
