I just got the Shinko 005 set.  Turns out it really hard to find a place that can install motorcycle tires.  The Shinko's kind of scared me because of some poor reviews I've found online, but they were so cheap I couldn't resist.  Plus they are bound to be way safer than the bald, braid-showing Dunlops I had on before.  For sure the most fun I've had on that bike so far was burning out the rest of my rubber on the drive to the shop

Wow that's a nice price!  Josh909, what's the birthdate of the tire?
Posted:  09 Feb 2010 04:46 [?]
umm i dunno, where would i look for that these tires are still nice and oiley there not dry and cracked like old new tires, they sell alot of them so they should be pretty new, but tell me how to check and ill let you know.

Last 4 digits of the serial number on each tire tell you it's birth date...second to last two tell you the week of the year it was made (01-52), last two tell you the year itself.
