on the way home from work i was smelling something burning. stoped at a light, looked down and my right pant leg was on fire. oh shit. have the buell race exhaust. anyone else had this happen.

That's one I haven't heard before. Are you getting an excessive amount of decel popping? Or maybe baggy pants that were up against the header? Just a couple of thoughts, not sure what else could be the cause.

did you pass a gas station or spilled something else that is flammable? i always wear my leathers, so i don't have that problem

was wearing bule jeans, only about 5 min, from work, bike was not realy even warmed up yet. only get decel popping when closing throttle from high rpms and was just more or less idleing through traffic. maybe got the pant leg up against the header pipe but i don't think so. was just wondering if this had happened to others before.

I have the race exhaust and my legs get warm but not hot - - and they definately don't ignite!! Next time snap apic before you stop drop and roll!!!! I gotta see that!! Sorry - and glad to hear you werent hurt Are your pipes wrapped? Wearing loose jeans?

think i'll wrap a BBQ'ed chicken in foil, stuff it up next to the header and make a video, cooking with buells.
