Well the pivot bolt for my clutch on the primary cover is stripped and broken off inside. So I am looking for a new one. I was curious if I could use a xb9 primary would fit on a xb12?

Hey, at least yours still holds oil...  Mine's missing half. It looks like that cover has seen better days.  ;) From what I have read, the cover is the same for the 9 and 12. Is the bottom hole stripped, and the top one broken off?  How did you manage that?

retap it a size or 2 bigger a put a bigger bolt in it thats what i would do. its going to be alot cheaper fix. go to a good hardware store (talk to the old guy) and he will know what you are trying to do and get you what you need.

I just put a bid on one thats on ebay right now... I'm not to comfortable re-tapping the whole because then I have to re-tap everything else as well.....That and I can't afford to have my bike down right now...I don't know....damn thing....

I do have one ordered, but this one is not off yet. Plus, I want to remove the piece of bolt that is still in there. I will let you know. Is there something wrong with yours?

Other then the large crack, not a whole lot.  Don't know if you can really see it, but when I dumped my bike it tore the shifter off and pushed the primary cover in, tearing it. I'm in need of a new one, but not really concerned with the shape its in, I'm going to get it powder coated.
