Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum. I live in Orange County and I just got an 09 XB12Ss. I'm not new to bikes, but fell in love with the Buells when trying one out.

It's still pretty new so I won't be doing any engine/exhaust mods just yet till I break it in. I have removed the canister, and swapped mirrors. As soon as I get the tubbing I'll do the breather reroutes. I also plan to remove the cheese grater and do the two light mod. By the way, I got all this excellent info from you guys on this forum. Thanks.

Here's the million dollar question. How do I get the bike as low as the Scg? I can't use the fork because it's a 41mm whilst mine is 43mm. Would the springs be the same? Are there any aftermarket springs available? I have seen kits, but they are more for racing. I'm not a hard core rider. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Ss would need a custom made shock for the rear because the swingarm and rear shock are different completely from the CG.  I will do some research on the forks once I finally get my 2009 parts and service manuals here at the shop.

Thanks BuellPartsGuy. For the rear wouldn't changing the spring be enough? Changing the whole rear shock would be the best setup, but it starts to get expensive.
