Please!! Don't shoot!! I am on my phone and the search feature SUCKS to use!! I just broke a belt and I'm sure no dealers will have a 'Buell' belt. But I DO know some years Sportys are the same? I have it in my notebook at home, but that does me no good here. ('95 era Sporty sticks in my head). Is it the SAME belt (materials/construction) or a "it will fit replacement". I just want to know if I need to change it to a real Buell belt when I get home.

I think '91-04 Sportster belts are the same. Should have 128 teeth.

Thanks Nicholas!! A 6 mile walk, but Buellie and I are safe for the nite. I will check in again in the morning, and then start my search. I knew I was on borrowed time as it is 10 years old nearly and 40K miles of fairly hard use. Thanks again! :)

Glad you got her to a safe place. Did you walk it all the way home?

We're not home, but a tavern/inn sort of place. Definately an adventure!

Thanks everyone for your help. All is good! (Sort of). Found a belt, a Harley dealer tech left me use HIS tools and we're home. Its back apart. Wheel bearings are JUST starting to go away. So....I will do that and put some EBC HH's on it while its apart. Sure was TRYING to stretch this season out!! Oh well...40K miles and I cut it NO breaks. Again thanks everyone!!

I'm not sure the year sporties that match (the 90s ones spud right to me..) but I got a buell belt from my local Harley dealer, lifetime warranty and all that. It ran about 300 bucks, but hey. It got me back in the road.

Apparently our belts and things like that are still in the HD system. Helpful.
