| Are the right side scoops really that effective at keeping the rear cylinder cool? They arent exactly cheap. But will it save my fan and lengthen the longevity of the motor in the long run? If so I would like to get one for my 04 lightning 12s | |

| Good explanation LeFox. I don't have a RH scoop and have not seen one in person so I was just speaking theoretically. | |

no problem...it's good to be critical!
it's not because i help a friend in selling these scoops that i try need to convince people to buy them. also, not all rh scoops are the same
i had one, but now, with my mapped ecm, i don't need one. like i said Quote:
it does not solve the cause of the heat or the fact that the fan is blowing more than it needs too, but it does help reduce the symptoms. also, with the my coated micron...i want it to be as visible as possible
i would get one and fit it when it's really hot, but over here, that doesn't happen often enough. |

LeFox, please a quote for my '04 XB12S to viltsik [at] gmail.com. Live in Tallinn, 10416, Estonia.
Do they ship from Europe or US? Also, how did the ECM remapping influence the need of RH scoop? The rear cylinder is not running so hot? That fan is the most annoying thing about my Buell (besides the wind blast at highway speeds). Thanks |

A remap will certainly help against the fan running while riding. the fan is shipped from the netherlands. you wouldn't by any chance work as a marine surveyor?

My wife and I just bought our first house yesterday, so I'd better hold off until after we close. I'll save your email, and hopefully be able to get it in about a month! |
