I know the stops are different. I shaved them off already. Question is since I did the swap the bike feels "twitchy" now. I put ohlins suspension on my bike and have to use the 41mm lower. Any imput? Maybe I need to lower or raise front or rear? Help!

Ss models have a couple extra degrees of rake than S & R models. I believe that rake is determined by the triple clamps, though I'm not positive. If so however, that would explain the "twitchy" feeling.

I know they have the different rake. Is it the triples or frame. If it's triples I can't use this suspension which will really suck

I would say the rake is in the frame.. not the triple. They do make offset bearings to change rake as well.

Paul be extremely careful playing with the rake if you chose to go with a raked cup, there is a science behind it. You may already know.

I dont want to change the rake, I just need to figure out way its just not so sable anymore. Its loose feeling at highway speed. I feels like the bike wants to turn in very hard, like i have to keep the bars straight through a curve.

Rake is the angle, in degrees, that the steering head of the frame—not the forks—is tilted back from the vertical. Generally speaking increasing the rake angle on a bike makes it more stable at speed. Decreasing it makes it more twitchy and unstable. Doesn't mean that smaller rake angles = bad handling.

I'm still not clear from your description exactly what you're situation is. You installed Ohlins forks on your Ss?

Are they longer/shorter than the OEM units? You're still running the stock triple clamps? If so, you might just try sliding them until you restore the stock rake angle.

Do you have both Ss & S lower triple clamps in your possession? If so just measure the off-set of each & see if they are the same or different.
