I'm installing a new clutch cable and I am just about done. Got the new cable traded into good the primary fine but now I cant get the angle connector back on the ramp assembly! There is no room for my fat fingers to get it in the right spot. I've already dropped the connector into the primary twice. And scared the third time will be the charm and I won't be able to get it out. I've read all the threads about this but they all just say take your time, keep the cable straight when treading into the primary this is such a easy thing to do blah blah blah. But nothing about how to get this little booger back on....
Could I get a little help if you don't mind!?!?

Try removing the ramp then connecting it all together with the cable then re-installing the ramp and cable as an assembly...

I'm going to assume you don't know how to do that. Turn the slotted adjustment screw in the middle clockwise until the ramp assembly comes out. After installation turn screw counterclockwise until it lightly bottoms and then turn in (clockwise) 1/4 to 1/2 turn and your clutch will be properly adjusted.

Thanks for the additional info Kona! You may also want to tweak the adjuatment mid-cable per the shop manual. If you haven't downloaded one, please do! You'll be glad you did. ;)

what was suggested above. also: go to clutch cable....push up gaitor boot....access adjuster barrel...loosen jam nut....twist adjuster barrel clockwise multiple turns to yield sufficient cable slack...then do your connection thing. when done inside the primary do what kona suggested first....then go back to cable barrel and adjust to specs and tighten jam nut. SPECS is approx. 1/8th inch play between cable end ferrel and lever perch.

Using a good, strong telescoping magnet helps, my fat fingered friend:) But all that^^^^^ is good advice too.
