Saw a posting a bit back and decided I would like to do the same. Found a 2008 R6 Brembo MC. But I wanted to keep my levers all matched. The MC assembly came with a Pazzo lever that I don't want to keep as I use CRG.

I contacted the CRG guys in Santa Cruz and they sent (i bought, cheaper than a whole lever setup) me a "hanger/connector" piece for my year R6 that the MC was on. Since the CRG levers are universal, all I needed was the "hanger/connector" that matched the R6 MC. Lever is universal since it attaches to the "hanger/connector".

I didn't have anywhere to attach the reservoir, so I bought the Brembo reservoir kit. It's a bit pricey for what it is, but I didn't want to hunt for parts.

The electronics hook in, but not with a little bending of the prong, as it's a little wider than the one on the original Nissin MC. But it works, brake light is a go. The banjo bolt fits, just needed a little adjusting.

I decided to use the Tygon 2375 brake tubing and this is the tubing Brembo uses as well. I never had to bleed the MC with a bleed valve and it was nice to see my progress in getting rid of the air bubbles.

Tygon 2375 hose which is very chemically resistant and can withstand brake fluid without sweating.

    - Resistant to MEK and other highly aggressive chemicals:
    - Tubing is virtually unaffected by acids, bases, ketones, salts and alcohols
    - Contains No Plasticizers:
    - Prevents fluid contamination from leaching plasticizers - a common occurrence with other flexible tubings.
    - Eliminates premature cracking of embrittlement due to plasticizer extraction.
    - Extremely smooth inner surface: Inhibits particulate build-up.
    - Hydrophobic property reduces absorption of aqueous fluids
    - Minimal out gassing from tubing

So far I have just gone on a test ride and it's got a nice feel to it. I could have put on new pads as well, but the old ones still have a bit more life. I'm sure it will be even puncher with new pads.

    Cheers!

    very nice...

doing that to my bike as well, going with a Shindy set up and another On-point Performance fluid reservoir to match the rear.

Got in a longer ride in Sunday and can definitely tell a difference with the response in braking now. Maybe just in my head, but it feels a little stronger now. Not as mushy as my OEM Nissin. Did a few 90+ mile stress test stops near LAX on long straights. The lever felt strong, and with each mile I felt more confident in it.

    Worth the upgrade/mod.

Nice looking setup! Are you running the ZTL or ZTL2?

Running the ZTL 1. Didn't think about also upgrading the caliper, but the ZTL 1 is doing great with this mod upgrade. Sure it would be better with the ZTL 2.

    Cheers!

That looks amazing. I can't stand the brake on my 1125cr but hate brake work. Uggh, so tempting.
