I have a 2010xb12scg with an open airbox/K&N and looking to get a new muffler and had been planning on getting a spec-ops because of the good numbers on the dyno sheets from the muffler shootout but recently have also started looking at the Hawk mufflers.
The problem I have is I had planned on buying the EBR race ecm made for the drummer/spec-ops mufflers. I was wondering if anyone had any idea if that ecm should work for the Hawk muffler as well since they do not have a listing for a compatible ecm for it. Thanks, Ben |

The EBR race ECM for the Drummer and Ops will work great with the Hawk muffler.

| I can't wait for mine to show up too. I haven't been able to ride for a week now. (Not Randy's fault, I'm trading for a stock muffler to be sent to him.) | |

I was happy with the stock for a while but I think I finally decided to keep an eye out for an extra exhaust to send to Randy. I would assume that the 9 and 12 are a little different in stock form. If you're gonna cut them up and weld it back together, is there any difference between the 12 and the 9 pipes that would keep a 12 from working on my 9 after you did you thing to it?
Wasn't sure if I could broaden my search, or just make sure I find a pipe that was meant for a 9. |

| The 12 will work but is a bit heavier since it's double-walled and has the valve in it. Let me know if you want to have a listen to one before the purchase... | |

| waiting for mine to show up. don't send your pipe us mail to any ups store cuz they won't deliver to ups in most cases. I'm tryin to track down my pipe now and try to catch it at the post office on post cuz ups told me usps delivers to them and now usps is saying they dont' deliver to them and have no way of tracking my package. There just too damn lazy to get off the *ss and do some work. Can't wait to get the pipe tho i hear great things about randy and have had many conversations with him... always a pleasure to speak with him. | |

I spoke with Randy (super nice guy) and he says the only difference between the 9 pipe and the 12 is the valve. So, I ended up with a 9 pipe for my 12. |

It is awesome to hear Randy has sold hundreds of these pipes not excepting payment until after you get his product back and has not been stiffed yet. Pat youselfs on the back Buell owners! We r just good peoples! He told me he did ~800 and never got jipped. Not sure if I heard that number right. I almost feel obligated to screw him just to be original! Alas though, I won't. I sent him a butchered, gutted pipe that wouldn't even run on the bike. I can't wait to see what the results are. I know he had to custom repair the whole damn thing. Custom backplate and everything. Good man. |

Randy is a dude who has learned that a satisfied customer is worth more than any "marketing" campaign.
Because he is affordable and fast, he gets to feed his inner capitalist (a good thing to have) and share his craft with an enthusiastic riding community. I doubt the rice community would so supportive. |

| I have the Hawk exhaust on my 09 Uly and I love it. I also have a K&N air filter. The bike runs great now but would a race ECM programmed for the K&N and the Drummer exhaust be beneficial? | |

Word on the street is that Randy is on his 13th revision of the 1125r pipe.
He's close, but still tweaking it. And an xb pipe is on it's way to eb racing. |
