The rear third of my OEM Buell Race Exhaust is corroding, the paint is starting to flake on the end and the sides are developing rust spots.  Is it possible to refinish the exhaust can?  If so, can it be a DIY or should a shop take care of it? I assume it would require high-temp paint right?

Here is a pic of the bike, with my spanking new Corbin seat that is amazing.

If it was me, I would send it out to have it ceramic coated.  I suppose high temp exhaust paint would do.  Sand it down completely and paint it.
