Hey all,

I have searched through some forums and found folks who have powder coated their forks and I have a rough estimate about how much that costs.

I was wondering if anyone has done any anodizing? I heard it may be better to go that route. If anyone has done it, what about does it cost?

It is more expensive to anodize. It's a lot cheaper if you have multiple parts to do at the same time. But it looks way better on forks (in my opinion) than powder coating. I can't really give you a definite cost on anything, based on who you have do it and where. Just figure anodizing will probably cost you twice the price of powder coating.

forks need to be anodized for the following reasons:

- to fit through the triple trees again without damage
- it's stronger than powdercoat, which will chip when hit by stones
- looks better

if you have a few months, mine are getting anodized this winter.

Hmm, I'm asking because I would like to get my anodized, but it may be worth it to just buy them already done from Buell, Around $600 to buy it already done, just need to find out how much anodizing will cost.

well, around here you have different choices, all depends on how you want the interior forks done...
