| The "CB060" in the above number you gave seems to point to it being an '03 XB9 Race ECM. The ECM will fit as far as physically, but whether it's entirely compatible (as-in plug & ride) or not with your '05, I'm not sure. | |

| So I took it then, the guy want to have 50 bugs if it works, if not I shall send it back... I will try it but my next concern is: is a race ECM useable for daily usage/riding. Does the race ECM stress the motor too much???? | |

| What kind of bugs? If they're roaches it's a good deal. If they're dung beetles that may not be such a good deal. | |

and I checked the ECM on my bike:
There are 3 wires comming out between the 2 sockets/plugs. 2 are routed to a plug and connected to the bike. The 3rd wire has just a fast-on-plug but is not connected... Its not a modification, looks like original. No signs or No on the ECM??? I worry to connect the new ECM... |

Check that out. It's Erik Buell's new shop, and he just put up ECM's for all year XB's, with reprogrammable ones available with the software. Good stuff. |
