    Hi everyone,
firstly, this site is a fantastic resource for new Buell owners like myself to really get the most out of their bikes. For instance I just purchased a second hand OEM pro-series exhaust to fit to my stock 07 Buell XB12s thanks largely to trawling through informed members posts... I was attempting the airbox delete on my 2007 XB12s bike, but when I removed the airbox it seemed the previous owner has attempted this mod. already, as well as disconnecting an electrical cable exhaust servo?). Since I was about to follow this site's advice by fitting an airbox delete and breather reroute, I was wondering what's going on in my airbox already (see pix)

secondly when the pro-series exhaust shows up should I switch to an EBR race ECM and K&N for maximum effect and is a TPS reset required?

    many thanks fellow Buellers!

Wow did they re route the vents or just plugged them like that?
If there just plugged that really bag on gaskets and seals.
ECM spy tune or ebr ECM for pipe and kn.
Remove the servo and cable none the after market pipes use them

I think (hope) the vents must be re-routed but I haven't yet been able to trace where,...
the right hand tube has a filter / hole in it (you can't really see sorry for the picture)

the silver pump looking thing (second picture) with the cable is disconnected,... The servo sits on top of the airbox cover I believe

I might I need a long chat with the bike shop and remedial work before my engine goes bang,..

    the silver pump looking thing
That is the servo RT is refering to. The aftermarket exhaust pipes don't use it, so you could remove it completely.

will do,.. it appears disconnected anyway, I had another look at it and I think the breather re-route may be run under the box finishing up on my fan,.. cos there's a zip tied hose and oil remnants. The thing on top of the right tube appears to have a breather attached so maybe there's method in their madness afterall

thanks everyone for your prompt reply!

Did they change the exhaust servo design and location from the earlier 04 design? mine on my 04 12r looked nothing like that and was mounted on the top of the inner cover........not inside.

Can you pull the air box base plate off the velocity stack so we can tell you if there is a reroute done? Most of us have done it already and could tell you immediately. Can't tell you why there is a bolt in one hose and some other thingy in the other as of right now from the first 2 pics. Don't waste your money yet going to the stealership.

i'm fairly certain that your buell came from japan originially and that that servo is some sort of idle air controller, i'll check my book in a minute to know for sure.....
