I'll go ahead and add a bit more.... When the high beams are on, the indication is off...when they are off, the indication is on
Broke the bike down a while back with intentions to part it out since I had a busted frame. I ended up finding a place that could fix the frame, so I went that route. I had the bike down to where all that was assembled was the engine and swing arm. I have it pretty well rebuilt, just with one big problem lol.
I insert the key, flip to "on" position..the needles sweep with the highbeams on...when I flip the kill switch to "run", the time/mileage on the dash turns off, the fuel pump never primes.l, and the bike will not crank
Seems to me that I have a wiring issue somewhere, but I can't for the life of me figure out where the problem is.
Before I plugged the lights in, the speedo side of the dash was dead (no sweep or mileage). The neutral and oil lights came on but that was it.
All the fuses are good, and I get a click in two of the three relays. I haven't gotten a click in the ignition relay.
It ran before I took it apart, that's why I'm dumbfounded as to why it won't anymore.
After looking at the wiring diagram, my finger is pointing at the ignition relay in regards to the fuel pump issue, but as to why it won't crank, any ideas?

I would look for a ground. No ground can do many wierd things..
I'm starting to think it's an issue with the low beam. Will the bike not fire if the low beams don't turn on? I realize that's a bit far fetched, but I got my high beams to work, but no avail on the low beams. I took the harness apart and it has a good connection. Any ideas where the low beams ground at?
Looking at the diagram, the headlamps, horn, fuel pump, and key switch relay/ignition relays share the same common ground. The horn works, and key switch relay clicks... But the low beam doesn't...I'm absolutely lost.
