Just bought an exhaust emulator..... rookie mistake but I have no idea how to go about installing the thing. Can anyone show a pic or anything? Once it is installed do i still need to clear the engine light or will it be taken care of. Thanks for all the help.
you sent me PM 2 weeks ago regarding this and i responded pronto. did you not receive it? remove harness from IEV modulator unit (the big black box on top of inner air box lid) then plug emulator into the harness. wire tie to convenient spot to tidy it up. you can either clear the code by spying your ecm or after 50 "no trouble" cycle thrus the code should clear.
you should have spent the money on an ecm cable and just turned off the exhaust valve with ecm spy.
