| Ok thanks, lost the front exhaust clamp at a track day on the 27th, but it was happeneing before then and its getting worse....I'll have a look at the front hanger and bracketry> checked all of the header bolts, front two were a little lose but the rear were fine...it happens at 4000rpm in every gear, really bad at 4000, nothing below 4 then it sort of tales off.... | |

16000, best you change your wheel bearings.
check the balance on wheels & axles. also because of the vibration you have, check the play on the front fork. |

| LeFox is there any reason to change wheel bearings at 16000kms .shit i am at half that now and what tipped me towards the Buell was build quality. I have seen chinese bikes do more k's with no wheel bearing change. sorry i didn't mean to hijak this thread just curious. | |

Thanks, she is due a 16000km service, off to the dealer tomorrow......I checked the rear isolator bolt this am, tight as.....I've checked the front muffler assembly, the bolts etc...interestingly I lost the front exhaust clamp at the last track day (27th) right on the last session........replaced with a large jubilee clip and awaiting a replacement from Peter at SWR moto....wheels seem ok, no excessive play, again forks seem ok, steering and tracking well.....and the engine is pulling fine.....its just the buzzing and vibes through the pegs at 4000rpm...I'll start it up in the garage and have a look at the chin fairing at 4000....thnaks for the advice gent's much appreciated...![]()

Latest update.....took her out for a balt and the vibration has gone.......thinking back the only part taken off was the chin fairing, this to allow me to get to the exhaust brackest etc, and to take off the belt pulley cover to check the rear isolator...
Nothing was lose and I checked everything you guys suggested and all were tight as....the only thing taken off and refitted was the chin spoiler, and then tightend right up..../ Thanks for the advice, forums like these are a god send...... ![]() heres to the next track day.....

I only have about 400 mi on by 2010 xb12ss and I just started to have the same problem. I have been combing over my bike, but I havent taken anything off yet. The chin spoiler is my next stop.
BTW nothing happened to the bike. was out for a nice ride, and the bike was fine. Stopped at the gas station just before my house to fill up, and a mile down the road I noticed the vibration once I got get on the throttle. |
