12xbss Lightning. I have an oil leak on the rear cylender head, some place. Does anyone know what it could be and how to fix it without rotating the motor? I can't tell if it is the head gasket or the valve cover. It may be something else as there are several lines passing in that area. Anyone have the same problem?

Check the pcv gasket. You can see it if you remove the inner airbox.

I have an '08 XB12Scg that developed an oil leak on rear cylinder as well, it ended up being the rocker cover gasket, #10.

Harley has a revised gasket as the factory, Orange, one is too thin and notorious for failing.

Fix it soon as it will ruin your fan if not taken care of quick.

If it is a gasket, the only way to fix it is to drop the motor. It really isn't that bad of a chore. Here is a step by step on rotating http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Foru...ine--With-Pics

Yes more than likely it is the Rocker Cover Gasket. If you do the Rear Might want to go on and do them Both while the Engine is rotated down. Check your 2/speed fan and clean it only with a rag. The link here on the Forum will guide you pretty well. Take your time and check everything you can while the Engine is Rotated Down. I rewrapped my Electrical harness when I did my own so as not to have wearing issues on Harness. Post up if you need to.Welcome to the Forum!*Jimi

if its just 16.... you might be able to replace it with just having the air intake off....but be careful its not the rocker cover (10) like Jimi suggested.
