hey, im just wondering if anyone has ever had the problem of their clock resetting.  it goes to 1:00 everytime i start my bike.  the battery is good & has plenty of power to start the bike right up.

it must be the clock loses power after shutting it off or during startup.  any suggestions would be great, its an 03 9s.  cheers.

i leave my bike on the batery tender while it sits in the garage then i go to start it and the clock resets back to 1:00 have no idea what it is but its not a big deal to me i never look at the clock any way but if i find out what it is ill let ya know

Mine used to do that too.  I r2(removed and replaced) the battery, op check good.  My guess is that the starter would drop the voltage down to an unsustainable level for the clock to remember the time.  Have your battery checked.

the battery is good

just to clarify, how do you know your battery is good?
did you check it, did someone tell you or do you draw that conclusion cause it still has enough power to start the bike?

well,  its a new battery.  and now that its warmer outside, i hasnt reset since i posted this question (about 10-15 starts)....  who knows, not a huge deal, i just thought someone might know of the top of their head.  i'm gonna keep my eye on it.  at least i know a couple people have experience this prob.  thanx

with the same battery?

then i would think that it isn't fully charged. more power is drained during cold weather.

get a tender and you'll give your battery a good and long life.
