what up with the fan 8000 on my xb12 and it comes on at hwy speeds when its 70 degrees

Im in Florida and mine stays on. The fan is to cool the rear cylinder, even when cold out the rear cylinder does not get much cooling air to it.

got some more details on the bike? the oil you're using? etc.

I use 20-50 a k&n plus a drummer other than that all stock.anyone think a right side scoop helps

my fan shorted out blowing fuses, now getting new fan, bike at dealer waiting for it to arrive.

got a year on that? scoop helps, but doesn't solve the actual issue. so unless your engine is really getting hot without other issues, the scoop is the way to go. but i doubt this is your case. i'm guessing the 20-50 is synthetic? k&n and drummer has been on since...? ecm is still stock with k&n, but your airbox is still closed?

the bike is a 06 I opened up the air box and put on the drummer this spring still using stock ecm.Im gusing its normal

you're bike is running lean. either pick up a race ecm of have your ecm remapped.
