I have a 2004 xb12r and I hear a high pitch humming noise comming from the engine area but it happens in first,second,and third gear but doesnt happen all the time,Do you think is the clutch?

Probably going to need more information to diagnose this one. The Buell makes SO much mechanical noise when running it's hard to tell at times if it's normal or not. If it sounds like a handful of nickels in a blender it's probably OK. The only whirring I've heard in over 20k miles on my Uly is the cooling fan.
