yes, may have to remap it though
Thinking of setting a 2004 xb12r engine in a 2003 xb9s, anyone know if its as easy as bolting it in and swapping ECM?
Thanks,
Banshee
Even if I use the 12r ECM?yes, may have to remap it though
Switching ECM you should fire and go. Tuning is always recommended
The wiring harness wont have the wires for the exhaust valve, but you're most likely not going to use it any ways.
So... Other than the fuel/timing maps, are the ECM's the same?
What's wrong with the 9? Are you just looking for more power or do you actually have mechanical issues?
Hell i heard you could swap out the top ends and jugs, headers, and pistons/crankshaft and rods and convert a 9 to a 12.... is that correct??...
The issue is that one bike has to go, one is a xb12r other is a xb9s, would love to have a xb12s. Both bikes are in good condition with 5,000 miles or less.
Crank pistons and exhaust manifold all ya need for engine internals
