| you use 2 of the torx head screws from the original scoop to mount the new inner scoop part then you need 3 of the screws that i listed above to mount the outer scoop part to the inner scoop. the rear mount will use the same torx screw. when i tried to order the ss screws, the parts dude told me that this is a item that they stock plenty of at their shop. so i just picked them up when my parts came in. | |

| Just curious, what is the reason for this? I mean I can see asthetically that it balances the left and right side of the XB, but is there a benefit to this? Also, why is it called the "Comfort Kit" for a Uly? | |

why couldn't they make it identical or atleast the same material finish?!?
not to brag, but the ones i offer look far better... but it is a good price, which is obvious since it's a large production piece... |

50dro,
It probably means that they are vendor direct parts and cant be tracked. So its considered special ordered. Thats what they told me at my local HD dealer. They said it would probably take 2-3 weeks, but mine came in 5 business days. |

| Lefox, you're right...I think your scoop is a much better match symetrically. But $40 vs $250? In this economy, form will have to follow function. | |

Yeah I think you got marked up a lot
I didnt buy the screws I have tons at work. You definitely seem to be paying too much. Not sure why they are adding special handling either? From Bergen Harley Davidson in NJ, I paid Inner scoop - $11.00 regular Outer scoop - $23.95 regular Total $34.95 Minus MVP discount -$3.84 Tax: $2.18 Total Paid $33.29 |

the special handling is because I went to a non buell dealership i think.
I also just called a different dealership and got a price quote for 12.95 for the inner.. greedy dealerships around here I guess. I called back the other dealer and told him about his mistake.. his 2nd mistake total with me alone.. he said he would fix it when the parts come in. |
