You might need the axle too...that is if it would work. I'm assuming the front axle is like the xb swingarm axle with a closed end with screw hole in it.
Someone with a 1190 will have to chim in.
I'm just about ready to order new brakes for the xb9. I really want the ztl2 caliper and system for the front. (I'll do the rear, too but haven't decided which way to go on that just yet)
I've been looking at the ebr caliper, which appears to be the exact same caliper, just with a different label. I'd like to buy new, so I would rather support ebr than go to hd for the parts (assuming price is similar across brands).
My question is about the brake ducts on the ebr. Comparing pics of the 1190rx online to the xb, the only difference I can find is one screw right in the middle of the axle. (circled in red on the pic) Any thoughts on making this work on a xb? I don't race or anything - I just think it would be neat to try as long as it can be mounted safely.

You may not have the clearance for it with the XB wheel? Might want to investigate this. If it does clear, you could try using a bar end type fitting to thread into the hollow axle end.
Overkill dude. I always laugh when I see a huge spoiler on a Neon. Jeezus.
I agree, it's overkill for an xb. The SX model does not have the scoop and it's the exact same brake setup. The only time you might possibly need it is if you're actually racing at the pro level.
Oh, I completely agree. If I was to do it, it would be on for something like the Dragon where I might worry about brake fade, but otherwise it would just be on long enough to know it could work.
I just like to tinker. :-)
Good pads and top of the line brake fluid will help more than anything. No less than Motul RBF600 for heat, I ran the 1125/1190 race pads on mine for several years. Got an RX now and it's pointless at street speeds. Looks different, but not really needed.
Any non racers want to ditch your scoop I will take it off your hands.
:D thanks, answered a future question :DNo less than Motul RBF600 for heat
^ Already has that in yours. Been running it for years.
