can i see some pictures of people running either one of these setups in clear...i really just wanna see the led pattern. and i know the "ya get what ya pay for" thing, but is xblights really that much better than CA? xblights clear integrated is also on back order and with riding season just a few weeks away i dont want to be waiting for it

| Can't find the thread, but a side-by-side comparison showed the XBlights to be MUCH brighter than the CA. | |

I just ordered one too! Mid April delivery as well.
I ordered a custom LED tail lamp for my vrod that took 4 months to get and that was considered fast! I LOVE IT and would wait for it again. |

no, i saw a few different ones for under $150...but non were plug and play, not that is that big of a problem, but you have to wonder about the quality of the leds and such...
thats one thing ive noticed about buell...all the small independent shops that only do buell things...xblights, hawk, ASB...none of them seem to be in it for some huge profit...more for the love of just doing it |

that is the great thing about the buell community. The big companies do not support buell that much so the riders decide to make there own product to help each other out. Like dark horse came out from the simple fact that Keith (the owner) wrecked his bike and messed his swing arm up so he developed a product to keep everyone eles form suffering the same fate. Randy (hawk pipes) from what I understand bought his bike with a jardine on it and hated it so he decided to make something better for close to the same price.
Oh a cheap option that you may not have thought about is the 2010 tail lights, they are supposed to be better than the clear alt as well as cheaper. They are not as good as xblights but they are an option. |

The xblights tail is brighter, but the ca is brighter than stock and if 90% of buell riders are safe on the stocker you will be fine on the ca tail. save the loot and buy the ca tail.
btw i have the ca tail and am still alive

the camera was auto dropping the ISO way down to get the photos and the light was still so bright it looked yellow. so I shot these at a standard ISO so the room wasn't black. I have the red lens not the clear so it is red light but I cant capture it. you can see in the first pic it was so bright it was bouncing between my filter and lens glass. |
