Hey BPG.  Is the race ecm remappable?  I would like to get it dynotuned but I don't know if you can remap the race ecm.

I'm pretty sure that you can remap your race ecm... best bet is to wait for LeFox to chime in though.

Yup, you can remap the Race ECM.

Yes, you can re-map a Race ECM, but there is no point in buying one when you can just load the Race ECM map into your stock ECM

Well, I guess, what do you want to know in particular? They use a specific software such as Direct Link or ECM Spy and use a mapping key to store the map data on.  They manually go in with the computer and change all the ignition and fuel parameters to better suit your set up.  A dyno must be used, unless you can find someone that has the exact set up as you and use their map.

well i was thinking I could just reprogram my ECM instead of buying a race ECM. I plan on remapping when I can find a place that will do it for me.

Well I already have the race ecm and it was in the bike when I got it but I would rather have the bike dyno tuned plus I think I am going to get a new pipe anyway.  I am not really liking the race pipe I want the D&D Pipe. When I get the D&D I will get it dyno tuned for sure I was just making sure it could be remapped.

if i was you, i would get a used original ecm and sell the race ecm & exhaust. it will easily pay for all your original ecm, d&d and part of your dynotime.
