Thread: South African Buells in Western Cape

  1. #1
Lets get this group going here. Good to share parts and knowledge where you know you can actually get to it. And then we can speak Boer too. Maybe just say what bike you have and what spares you have lying around. Even if you dont wanna sell it just yet...
I have a 07 Uly and i have the belly fairing and setable screen brackets in the making. Also have brand new oxford waterproof gloves and a oxford tank bag. And i have ecmspy on phone with the bluetooth dongle.

    Well, you know me ;)

08/9 Uly XT (anniversary edition with all the boxes), gutted exhaust, X-front fender set up, K&N filter and that is pretty much it!

It was on the bike when I bought it. :D

    Lucky, I guess!

You can try the guys from Motown Auto.
They are nice guys and import lots of stuff - even Buell motors for some clients.
I know they have the complete K&N catalogue.

    Ask for Ralph.

Got the screen done. Pretty happy with the results and it does not degrade the overall look of the bike. Actually I think moving the screen slightly forward makes the bike look longer which is good. I havent been up to speeds yet.

Great looking bike Beastrider. Tell us more about the screen. More pics?

Had the brackets laser cut and machine bent and got handwheel nuts to lock them in place. All nuts are covered with plastic caps to blend with the bike. Its still the original screen and original mounting spots. Takes about 15 mins to fit. I still have 2 sets left... Ill let em go for around R350. It was a testrun and i can prob start changing the design slightly to increase the amount you can move the screen up and down. The screen can also tilt forward and backwards. I may add a deflector too to narrow the gap between the screen and the cluster shield if i fing any wind problems at 150+
