| I'm working on my x1 and want to have a fuel tank fabricated out of metal just to be the size of the tank and get rid of the tank cover. Is there a cheaper way like just painting my tank, cause I have seen a few people thathave painted there plastic tank and it looked perfect. | |

I painted my tank on my 98 S3 with spray paint I got about 1000 miles on it with no problems so far.It comes out pretty good as long as you prep it good and do alot of wet sanding.
