I bought a gas tank, seat, rear plastic and three other things for $60.00. But the plastic part of the gas cap has stripped. I think i can fix it with a stainless steel insert. Has any one else had this probelm? If this idea works ,I might be able to fix yours for you.

Hi everyone....I sent Eric (toolmaker98) the plastic part from my sons Buell. The repair he did to the plastic part is great! It works better than new! I would recommend his repair to all plastic gas cap parts that are stripped. Also...he received my part and sent me a repaired one in just a few days!! Thanks Eric for the quick turn around and great repair!! Greg
