Anyone still making/selling these cables. I see a few on ebay for 45.99, is that the cable that i would need to use ecmspy properly? If you can do better pricing than that it would be grately appreciated.

Without 1st hand references, Ebay can be hit-or-miss at times.  I'd contact, Xoptiinside.com.  He sells them and the quality is guaranteed for $45 if I'm not mistaken.

Checked that site, At this time after shipping its 49.99, but if youre telling me about it here and its not the first time ive seen it on buellxb.com, Than its a much safer bet than ebay.

Now just wait for the cable, and look around about the careful modification of the AFR, ugh
Thanks Stevenc

I couldn't remember their name earlier, but here's a post where a BuellXB.com member (Edipis) offers ECMSpy cables and some support for $45.

Edipis, Cables? cables for the usb to serial cable for the use with ecmspy, if so i could use one but im poor. what can you do for me

Matt95,

You should have the 07 race eeprom in your email.

StealthyMosquito,

$45 is really the best I can do after paying shipping and everything.  I loose money if I go much lower.  I understand times are tough.  I have a bunch of these I have money wrapped up in, so I'm kind of in the same boat. It's still lower than anyone else you will find after shipping is included.

Downloaded ECMspy. I have a 09 XB9SX and should have a Voodoo-ish pipe later next week. Where do I go from here for tuning? I have NEVER played with a fuel map before and am very sketchy about doing it myself.

Pockets,
I can email you the tuning guide if you don't already have it.  Just remember to back up your existing settings first.  That way if you mess something up, you can change everything back to stock.  The tuning guide walks you thru this.

Send the request to chadlikness@gmail.com  I'll reply with the tuning guide attached.

Pockets:  ECMSpy is for the '07-Older ECM's, it won't work on your '09.

If you're just installing the exhuast can, you can probably Reset the TPS and get by until the next ECMSpy-ish program for '08-up bikes come out.  Or you could contact JTS Performance and inquire about a tuning "package".

Edit:  There's also Ohio Sportbike for '08+ Tuning.

Thanks guys for all the awesome help, love this forum.

Also Stealthy, 45$ is the best price I have found for the cable and maps.  The one I ordered (EBAY) had messed up maps that came with it...long story short if I had to do it again I would get mine from a member here.

Stevenc150- thanks for the heads up! I did the tps reset and it actually helped my stock setup. Doesn't bog as much. Hope it works well enough again after doing the pipe. I'm looking forward to the new ECM deal that's being worked up.

Anyone know what the best maps are to put in a bike with a k and n and a stock pipe. I'm not into the louder aftermarket exhaust id like to keep the stock one but still wanted to see if a can get a little more out of the bike with the ecm

Emailed stock & race maps to you Buelltech.  Without adding on an exhuast mod with the K&N, I'm not sure which would be best.  If possible, I'd check the air/fuel ratio - if it's lean use the Race map.

Buelltech, the email wouldn't go through to you, is that you're correct email address?

Does anyone know if the new ECMspy software is out for the '09 XB12's yet? Would also appreciate if you can direct me to a site so I can download it.

Thanks all!

Keep an eye on www.ECMSpy.com.  "Mono", for all XB's I believe, should be released soon.
Posted:  23 Feb 2010 19:55 [?]
I just bought the ECM spy program and cable set off of ebay and waiting for it to come in.  According to the seller there are maps there for xb9's and xb12's up to 08. I hope he's right and cant wait for it to come in.

Anyone have a map for an 04 xb12r who's done open airbox and modded exhaust?  My ECM has been modified but it's choppy, I'd like to see if I can start from someone else's.
Posted:  23 Feb 2010 23:15 [?]
I have an 07xb12r with a K&N, airbox delete, and a D&D exhaust...Almost doen with the cable, I could send the map to you when I am finished, but with school and weather I won't be done til mid march.

Keep me posted Rwubbens, I'd like to see what you come up with.  (assuming the year difference wont play an impact)
