keep searching here on Buellxb.com, I know I've seen it on here somewhere.
It's doable, just takes some time and patients to do a mod like this. E |

I just got my Lightning tail section today and will be doing a little powder coating and what not then installing it.
As far as modifications there really are none, it is almost a direct bolt on mod. If you are going from a Lightning to a Firebolt then there is some mods that need to be done but as you are talking it is very simple. The only thing that is different is the length of the latch cable, brake resivour down tube, and the tail light wires, but if you do as I did and trade someone who wants to do the firebolt tail on their Lightning it is all a direct swap so you dont need anything. I will have picture soon but as I said it is nearly a direct replacement with no real mods needed. |

| How hard would it be to go from a lightning to a bolt front end? I've wanted to put a bolt front on my lightning for quite a while now. I'm starting to think though that it would be easier to get a bolt and swap the tail for a lightning rather than the other way around. Thoughts? | |

I would think a bolt front on a lightning would be easier since all you would need to do is swap the whole front and maybe extend a couple wires for the lights.
Otherwise the ECM, relays, and fuse block are under the tail so all you need to deal with is mounting the horn which is mounted to the front fairing of a bolt anyway. If you are really interested I have an entire front fairing assembley with light assembly and bolts you need for sale. |

Extreme I'm interested in your R front end. Shoot me an email when you get a chance.
I had no idea that there were so many posts out there about this already. |
