I created a heat blanket for the underside of my airbox by using a cardboard template, and then transfering it onto some heat shield material I picked up from Home Depot. (Yes I do alot of shopping there) I have noticed a huge difference in the heat reduction of the air box. As for HP #s, I couldnt tell you, but cooler air=better mixture. If anyone is interested, let me know, and I can post some pics and detailed instructions. I still say we need a How to Forum added on here.

Nice mod. I'll add the forum right away. If you email me images with descriptions I will add a link to a section for custom mods and DIY Buell stuff.

That is so cool Ive never heard of anyone who has actually done that to stay warm.

Matchbox, this doesn't keep you warm, it keeps the incomming air cooler. Sorry have not had the time to post pics as of yet!

Hook me up!! I'm interested as well. I was thinking about doing something like that after I found out that I will probably never get a F.A.S.T. kit in the states. I just didn't know what heat resistant material to use. Let's see those pics Homeboy!

Do you run the heat shield under the lower plate of the inner air box?

Here is what I came up with. I haven't tested it out yet to see if it works well.
