Just mounted up my new signals last night. I'm thinking about mounting side signals under the subframe too.

very clean install, I think the subframe is a good idea. until you do it nobody on the side of you can see your blinkers

Exactly my thoughts!

I'll try to get my buddy to come by with his cam. My cell phone doesn't record in the right format for posting up to YouTube.

Nice. Good idea.

Thanks 03. I have some 5mm amber LEDs that I'll be mounting on the sides where the plastic tray meets the passenger pegs. That way there will be side-facing signals too. Probably just drill a couple of holes and flush mount them from behind.

looking forward to the vid

I can take a video on my phone, but somebody else will have to reformat it to mpg or avi if anyone's up for it.

Nice finish!
Looks like a mod for mine !

Sprayed the pods with truck bed liner from Auto Zone. Matches the peg spars. I need to get a small paint brush and cut in some more black around the LEDs themselves. The pods used to be chrome.

I get the idea, but what do you do when you want to take off your passenger pegs?
Posted:  06 Mar 2010 01:14 [?]
I won't be taking mine off unless my wife gets her own bike (not likely).
Posted:  08 Mar 2010 21:44 [?]
wow looks great almost a reason to put my pegs back on... almost

Thanks Bolt! These were fairly easy to do and only cost me about $10 for supplies.

Not a problem at all. I just ordered up 100 red LEDs and will be tackling my Chevelle's tails.

Nice mod Pockets!

You got a rear view shot of your LEDs?

7Mary3- Just of the first set I did on my pass pegs. The new set only faces sideways but it does reflect a bit off the frame when lit at night.I'll try to get a shot tonight and post up.

Pockets - You make me want to be a better man.

I need to get more Electronicly savvy.  I get nervous when I start splicing/soldering

Tell me about it. I soldered up a full perf board of LEDs for my tail on my bike and forgot to wire in the resistor for a 13.9V circuit instead of the 9v I used to test with. Fried 50 LEDs in 1/2sec. Ouch. I'll be redoing it once I get my bulk order this next week.

Thanks 303xb. I'll be posting up my handguard signals in the next couple of days. Just have to route the wiring through the factory harnesses.
