I've been working on this for awhile now and just got it all mounted and wired up. Pretty happy with it. Light is an led from Radiantz.
Here was the CAD for it...

That's pretty slick. I like it. Few questions:
1. Is the light battery powered? 2. How did you attached it to the swing arm? Belt guard has to be removed in order to mount it? 3. Are you plan to make few more and sell them? 4. Is it street legal? |

1. Is the light battery powered? no, the wire runs thru the tubes and up the inside of the swingarm
2. How did you attached it to the swing arm? Belt guard has to be removed in order to mount it? I replaced the 2 bolts for the brace with longer ones and and used nyloc nuts to mount the bracket. 3. Are you plan to make few more and sell them? not sure yet. Lots of fabrication not sure anyone would buy them for the time I got into it 4. Is it street legal? Hell no 5. Fit an '09? Not sure, I'd have to and look at the '09's or I could trade you for my '03 and you wouldn't have to worry about it.

That is a Awesome plate mount! You get some rep for that. I wish I could get away wit that in California. Cops suck about side mounted plates out here.

very cool plate mount.. I don't mean to get off topic but I have to ask...your rear sprocket looks to have a machined finish towards the outer perimeter. Is this stock or something you've done. It looks great!

Thanks guys. I appreciate all the compliments. Yeah I hear FL and Cali are pretty strict. I know this local police officer (bitter rod)... I think the MI cops are way cooler than the other states cops
I am thinking about making a few, I just need to come up with a reasonable cost for it. I'll let you guys know what I come up with. I will probably make another and see how much time I have into it. I did sand the edge off the pulley as LeFox suggested. |

I made one similar to bads1 tag mount which is much like yours only on the brake side but after the law change down here in florida I dont think its worth a ---$1100.00--dollar---ticket so I retired it until I go to tennessee.
Looks great though.

Where are you located in MI, I am in the Muskegon/ Grand Rapids area?
Also any thoughts on making a few more for a bit of profit? Someone will be willing to pay your price, finished or even if left in raw metal. |

perfect, so a little more sanding and I will be good to go..... thanks. sorry to jack the thread. sand it and rub it in with a bit of oil. dirt comes off easy and no need to keep polishing or sanding it. just oil it in with a rag every time you wash your bike.

hey guys - I purchased material to build 6 brackets. I should have them ready to go in the next 2 weeks (or so). I'll let you know when they are ready. I'm thinking $80 each without the light. The light is available from Radiantz directly.
