  1. #1
Hey guys, im about to cut/open my airbox cover as ive seen some of you already did. My question is: so what after when i want to wash my bike, is the water going to be a problem for it since ive made holes on it, or the reain!?

You cut open the outer airbox cover? I wouldnt spray water directly at it because it would either get trapped under the cover or could make its way into the filter/inner airbox. When cleaning my bike I usually just use a quick detailer followed by wax or plastic polish anyways.

when washing, just put some painters tape over the holes and peel off when you're finished.

Cosworth, yes the outer cover, and yea quick detailer or polish is good but sometimes it needs a bath, so id rather put on some tape or something to cover holes before the water goes insede the filter and ruins my filter, thanks buellchris and cosworth

Will water really ruin the filter? I have used similar k&n filters on dirtbikes and ridden them in water and never had any problems with that.
